We are a movement of passionate people, who stopped waiting for someone else to do something about it. We stood up and took our job back and cared for our cities, wherever we are, stepping into the gap to serve where hope is needed most.
It is not that nobody cares. It is that nobody owns it.
Children who need somewhere safe while their parents work. Families one missed paycheque from losing their housing. Girls being bought and sold in a country that says it does not happen here. People who walked away from church, or from God, and were never given a reason to look again.
Everyone agrees these things matter. Few organizations are built to actually carry one, and so few things change.
So it sits with you. You notice it at the grocery store and on the drive home. You have raised it in meetings and watched it get added to a list. You are not short on conviction. You are short on a starting point, and quietly worried that if you began something it would be small, underfunded, and one more thing that helped nobody.
It is what happens when a whole city agrees a problem is somebody else's department. The gap is rarely compassion. The gap is ownership.
We know that feeling. Somewhere along the way the church handed its job to someone else.
Caring for the vulnerable. Feeding the hungry. Protecting the exploited. Raising the next generation. These were never supposed to be somebody else's department. They were supposed to be our jobs.

The problem is exactly where it is. Somebody else's department stays nobody's department. And you are still the person who noticed, which gets heavier rather than lighter.
If you start where you are
It exists. In your city, run by the people who see it most clearly. One problem that used to belong to nobody now has somebody carrying it, and it is you.
You do not need our name to do this.
